The Cincinnati Trailblazers are reloading their program for 2008 / 2009 and are on the move to the Anderson Mercy HealthPlex. We are looking for homeschool students who have a passion for basketball and would like to consider joining the Trailblazer organization in September and take part in the strength and conditioning sessions thru the off-season.
Our Purpose Statement: To honor and glorify Jesus Christ in order to build and mentor our players in their Christian walk through competitive basketball and other sports.

Players and Parents are invited to join us for one OR ALL of our “Open House” sessions to see if this is the right program for you. Players should come with shorts and gym shoes ready to play basketball.

Will there be carpooling thru the summer and season? YES, a coordinator will be available to discuss and assist you to locate the most efficient transportation options.
What does the Open House practice cost the players? There is NO CHARGE and a complimentary tour of the HealthPlex will be provided to the parents while your child plays basketball. Child care will be available up to 12 years of age.
What are the ages and practice times for the Open House in the summer?
12:30-3:00 Varsity & JV boys– Ages 15-18, not turning 19 until after 9/1/08
1:00-3:30 junior high & middle boys– Ages 11-14, not turning 15 until after 9/1/08
1:30-4:00 junior high & middle girls– Ages 11-14, not turning 15 until after 9/1/08
2:00-4:30 Varsity & JV girls– Ages 15-18, not turning 19 until after 9/1/08
For 2008/ 2009 we are forming an instructional academy for ages 9, 10, 11, & 12. This program will be primarily to introduce basketball to new players.

The 2009 National Home School Basketball Mid East Trailblazer Regional Championships will be held February 5th, thru the 7th. This years Tournament will be held in Cincinnati, Ohio. Last years Tournament had over 32 total teams. The Champions were Dayton Lady Sabers in the Girls 18 & under. The Landmark Eagles won the Boys 18 & under Championship.
The Regional championship is being held to help seed all the teams in the National Championships held in Oklahoma City. This year all Boys & Girls Varsity teams will have to qualify for Division 1. This is being done thru the Regional Tournaments. Last year we had 14 teams from our Regional in the Top 32 for the boys. (Division one) In the Girls varsity we had 8 of the Top 32 Girls teams. Last year led by National Runner- Up Landmark Eagles, we had 5 of our regional Tournament Teams place in the top 32 in boys Varsity. This year I expect over 20 Teams for both the Girls Varsity, & Boys Varsity competition
Entry Fee will stay the same for this years Tournament $175.00 for one Team. Your Second Team is only $125.00. What that means is you bring both your Girls Varsity & Boys Varsity your cost is only $150.00 per Team. Each Team will play at least THREE (3) games. 14 & Under Boys & Girls (Junior High) the cost per Team is $125.00 for One Team and Your Second Team is $75.00. If you are bringing your Varsity Team & Junior High Team your total costs for both teams would be only $250.00. To reserve your spot you must call or e-mail Frank Beaver. This years Tournament will feature Four Different Divisions (Boys & Girls 14 and under, Boys & Girls varsity 18 & under)
This year we will have THREE Hotels. They are Courtyard Cincinnati Blue Ash, Residence Inn Blue Ash, & Towne Place Suites Blue Ash. The cost per room is only $79.00 (NO SALES TAX). When you make your reservation you MUST SPECIFY 2009 HOME SCHOOL REGIONAL TO GET THE SPECIAL RATE.
