Basketball Physical Education The goal and purpose of the Cincinnati Trailblazers Physical Education program is to expose home schooled students to a variety of sports, games and activities that will enhance their physical, mental, spiritual and social development. We will provide age appropriate lessons and activities to encourage learning for all ages Pre-K-12th grades. The focus of the classes is to encourage students as they develop physically. The students will be exposed to recreational activities as well as opportunities to prepare for competitive sports if they should so choose. Held at the Anderson Mercy Healthplex on the east side of Cincinnati, the Healthplex staff provide age appropriate lessons and activities for students of all ages Pre-K through the 12th grades. Volleyball The Cincinnati Trailblazers are now forming volleyball teams for girls for the 2009 season! The program is being developed to provide competitive volleyball teams for home schooled girls in the Cincinnati area. The teams are designed to encourage and teach great volleyball skills, good sportsmanship and spiritual growth through competitive sports. There are teams formed for girls grades 4-12. Teams practice at Anderson Mercy Healthplex. Home games are played in Evendale at Sports Plus. Cross-Country Cincinnati Trailblazers Boy's Cross Country Team The Cincinnati Trailblazers has a new Cross Country team for High School boys for the 2009 season! The program is being developed to provide High School Cross Country opportunities for home schooled boys and girls in the Cincinnati area. The teams are designed to train, condition, and encourage runners as they apply physical training and spiritual principles to their sport. Coach Randy Sprague, a former Cross Country athlete himself, is preparing the boys for a great season! There is one team for high school boys training this year with the hope of adding girl's and junior high teams in the future. The team will be meeting for practice at the Anderson Mercy Healthplex on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 2:00-3:30. Coach Sprague had the runners training on a variety of courses around the city for the summer and will train at the Healthplex with weight training, running and conditioning during the season practices. Cincinnati Trailblazers Gold Team The Cincinnati Trailblazers has developed a special program to minister to the needs of Special Needs home schooling families. The Gold Team provides physical activities, social interaction, and opportunities outside of their homes for the families of players with special needs. The Coaches for our Gold Teams are Junior High, Junior Varsity and Varsity players and parents of the Cincinnati Trailblazer sports teams. For the 2009-2010 school year the Gold Team will be offered at two locations, the Countryside YMCA in Lebanon, Ohio and Faith Church in Milford, OH.
