Since 2007, the Trailblazer Gold team has been an outreach to people aged 3-30 with special needs. The Gold team is made up of players with mild cerebral palsy, Down Syndrome, autism, and other developmental delays. All of the players share a desire to learn about basketball and how to work together as a team.

Gold Team players are matched up with coaches. The coaches are current and former Cincinnati Trailblazer players. Each Gold Team player has a coach to teach them basketball—and most importantly, to be a friend. The Gold Team practices are on Thursdays from 3:00-4:00pm.

Our hope is that you prayerfully consider being an integral part of this great program. By being a Trailblazer Gold coach, you will:

• help a group of people who are often overlooked

• gain valuable skills in how to coach

• add to the service activities you need on your high school transcript for college

• get to know and work with your fellow Trailblazers of all ages and from different teams

• have fun and make memories to last a lifetime
